The 2013 ISC West Security show was held in Las Vegas last week and Samsung had just featured its product of a Smart Home Wireless solutions called the Always On, Connected Home.
The Samsung SNS is actually a specialized company in network services and solutions that is a subsidiary of Samsung.
The product focused on smart door-lock system that enables consumers to open their doors without keys by simply using other methods such as keycard passes, touchscreen number pad codes, and fingerprint scanners.
Though their products are good, the American market where they introduced their products require more.
“The most noticeable feature of the door lock is that it (has) become more sophisticated by combining both mechanical and electronic elements for American markets,” a press release said. “To meet the oversea consumers’ preference for sturdy, practical door locks, the door locks were designed with a focus on simplicity and strength.”
“This Samsung smart door lock dominated the world’s three leading design awards: iF, reddot design in German and IDEA design in the United States,” the release said.
